Description

AURA HOME ® is an indoor stroller that is an ideal solution during the daily rehabilitation of people with limited locomotor abilities. It is equipped with numerous useful solutions which make it easier to take care of the user by providing safety and comfort.

Adjustable backrest height, seat depth and footrest length make the stroller grow together with the child. An advanced trunk and hip support system provides proper lateral stabilization. In combination with 5-point safety belts, it significantly affects the maintenance of the correct sitting position. The backrest is equipped with a headrest that can be easily adjusted to the shape of the user’s head, protecting it from falling to the side.

The tilt-in-space function, along with the reclining backrest and adjustable footrest angle, allow you to put the stroller in the reclining position easily and quickly. This is very useful when you need to change the position of the user from sitting to lying down, depending on the user’s current state of health and well-being.

The adjustable push handle can be easily adjusted to the height of the caregiver. The frame of the stroller is equipped with wheels with brakes.

Indications & Contraindications

INDICATIONS

It is recommended in the following cases:

  • Cerebral palsy (CP) – various types and forms.
  • Brain and spinal cord injuries of various etiologies with limb paresis, severe balance disturbances, and coordination impairments.
  • Demyelinating diseases (multiple sclerosis – MS, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis – ALS, and others).
  • Meningocele.
  • Muscle diseases with paresis and paralysis (including dystrophy, myasthenia gravis, polymyositis).
  • Genetic syndromes with limb paresis.
  • Degenerative and metabolic diseases of the nervous system.
  • Degenerative and rheumatic joint diseases.
  • Other diseases with limb paresis, paralysis, and musculoskeletal impairments.
  • After injuries, following traumatic brain injuries or spinal cord injuries with limb paresis and paralysis, particularly with quadriplegia (as part of the rehabilitation process or as permanent orthopedic support).

CONTRAINDICATIONS

  • Critical condition of the user,
  • Paralysis,
  • Deep sedation,
  • Unstable fractures with specific orthopedic recommendations, including spinal fractures,
  • Untreated deep vein thrombosis,
  • Hemodynamic instability,
  • Documented brain dysfunction while sitting in an upright position,
  • Severe inflammation of the cervical spine joints,
  • Pulmonary embolism,
  • Recent myocardial infarction within the last 24 hours,
  • Fresh postoperative wounds or non-healing wounds in the back, pelvic area, hip joints, and thighs,
  • Users with mental disorders should not be left unattended in the device.
